Having a solid night of sleep every night is essential to maintain energy and clear thoughts. What is made blatantly clear is the need to sleep for 6 to 8 hours a night. Surprised that’s the same amount the doctor recommends? You shouldn’t be.
Most of these influential sleepers get to be before midnight, and all of them wake up well before 10am. A trend I noticed was the obvious bedtimes between the older generation and the younger. Just like you’d expect, the younger generation has a later bedtime, but there is another trend I didn’t see coming. The millennials sleep longer. The historical figures could sleep for around five hours, and the older generation who are still alive sleep between six and seven hours a night. The young-guns mostly sleep for eight.
I can agree, I’m an eight-hour-guy myself. Rarely do I get the full eight hours, and I can function on less, but waking up after a long eight hour snooze is extreamly refreshing.
