Take it from the International Play Association, which stated that, “During times of crisis, play has a significant therapeutic role helping children recover a sense of normalcy and joy.”
If this isn’t enough to convince you, you should know that for all ages, playing and having fun can trigger the release of endorphins, the natural ‘feel-good’ chemical of the human body. This promotes an overall sense of well-being and peace even in the face of a crisis and stress.
