We all know that person who isn’t content with a dog or cat or some other pet that everyone else has. Heck, maybe that person is you.
I had a roommate who had four tarantulas, and you know what? Those spiders were awesome. They were friendly and fun to watch, and way more chill than his hedgehogs.
I’ve had my share of ferrets, rats, and hamsters. Those fellas sure are good at escaping. We had a chinchilla as a class pet that I got to take home one weekend. You’ve heard that chinchillas are soft, but until you’ve touched one you really do not understand just how soft they are.
The thing about rodents is that they seem so nervous all the time. I suppose that’s part of being a prey animal. Give me a carnivore at the top of the food chain any day. Dogs and cats know how to relax. Well, except German Shepards.
I have no experience whatsoever with chameleons or axolotls. I don’t think I’d even heard of an axolotl before. If you’ve had either of these exotic pets let me know in the comments what they’re like.
You won’t find any of the animals on this infographic in our Top Ten Pets infographic, but you might be surprised at how many people have turtles.
