Last week, I finally took the plunge and bought a Mac. After my ancient 10 lb. Toshiba laptop finally died after a long five year run, I felt like I deserved a nice, lightweight laptop. I started doing research about a month ago on the best laptop to get, but I finally bought it on impulse last week after a reassuring call to a friend with the same laptop. All it took was a quick credit check and a three minute wait before I had my laptop in my hands and happily sauntered out of Best Buy.
I still have my hesitations about this Macbook Air. You see, I’ve always been a PC girl. Sure, the Mac is sleek, light, and pretty… and has so many apps I’m sure I haven’t discovered yet. But that’s just the thing. I have no idea what I am doing with this machine or what it is even capable of. My fear is that I won’t utilize it to it’s $1000 worth of potential. OR heaven forbid, it breaks!? So naturally, I consulted an infographic to try and organize the pros and cons between a Macbook and PCÂ to try and rationalize my fears. So far, I feel okay. We’ll see how the next few days go with this trendy machine, and how it treats me. Hopefully I’ll still write my next post with the same Macbook Air! [via]
