Feeling like taking the plunge to veganism? Are you already a vegetarian and want to go even further? I have plenty of friends who are vegan, but I know I wouldn’t be able to stomach it. Vegetarianism is different. I know I could live off of those rules. Keeping dairy in my life is something I absolutely must do. Cheese is a god. Cheese fuels the soul, gives boring dishes new life, pairs well with wine, and is just downright delicious. I have already made the switch to almond milk, but yogurt is still big in my life.
Luckily for me, I live in a very vegetarian/vegan friendly city: Austin, Texas. We have this place here with the bombest-ass vegan chorizo – Bouldin Creek Cafe. I don’t know what they use to make it, but it’s fantastic. Of course. I add cheese on top. It is a taco, what do you expect me to do?
If I had to choose one vegetable that would actually give me a fighting chance to conquer veganism it’d be the avocado. Smooth, great coloring, incredibly versatile, and tasty as hell. I put one on everything I can. If you haven’t gotten into an avocado craze, please do. [Via]
