By | source:Here Aug 30th, 2017

In the 1890s, the term “brainstorm” was a term for “mental explosion.”  If you have ever worked in a team, then you know how important brainstorming sessions are. It is an age old tactic for approaching a problem and trying to solve it by bouncing ideas off each other. But brainstorming sessions don’t always work. Sometimes members of your team are distracted or their head is not in the game.  Or maybe the chemistry is just not right.

By now you might be wondering if there is anything you can do to avoid such predicaments, and luckily, you can. Brainstorming is a spontaneous process but is most effective when the process is planned in advance.  If all participants thoroughly prepare for the session, you will be able to go through all obstacles and achieve the set goal.

Every step and every way to do this is described in this neatly designed infographic. Here, there are ten ideas or solutions on how to keep your brainstorming session on track. One that immediately caught my eye is to unplug from the internet and social media and to rely solely on your brain.  Difficult for everyone, but the results are probably worth it.
