There’s nothing quite as aesthetically pleasing as a brand new floor. Whether wood, laminate or tile, seeing a home with flawless flooring is a plus for buyers and people who love interior design.
As many of us know, that perfection is often short-lived. Sooner or later, you may scratch your floors. What then? Fear not––you don’t have to call a professional or just deal with a blemished floor. All that it’ll take is some patience and a trip to a hardware store.
If you have light scratches on ceramic or porcelain tile, you can use toothpaste, clean cloth, fine sandpaper, vinegar and clear urethane sealant on your floors.
If you have laminated wood or hardwood, you need even less supplies. All you need is a wax crayon, white vinegar, a lint-free cloth, and another cloth or rag. For vinyl floors, you’ll need lacquer thinner, liquid seam sealer, masking tape, rubber gloves, and a cloth.
Now that you’ve got your floors down, it’s time to think about how to clean other parts of your house. Check out our list of cleaning hacks here.
