We all know that around the world work is compensated differently, but that’s not the only thing that is different! Different cultures view work in different ways. In some countries, there is honor in overworking, while in others leisure time is more valued.
It is important to achieve a good work-life balance, but that’s often more easily said than done when you take into account the local job market and the actual cost of living in different countries. The unfortunate truth, is sometimes you’re stuck with that low salary and high hours.

When you take into account that a large percentage of jobs will be under this threshold but an equally large percentage won’t be, it is easier to see where you might find better opportunities and how likely you are to get a better position.
