Video games have come a long way from the primitive days of Pong. Today, millions of people play video games on their phones, computers and consoles. And while it used to be enough to just have fun playing video games, these days you also have to know how many copies they’ve sold. If a game doesn’t sell well, it can be taken off store shelves pretty quickly (as evidenced by EA canceling Fee). So without further ado!

It’s hard to believe that Tetris was originally released in 1984, because it feels like the game has been around forever. That’s probably because it has. In fact, Tetris has sold over 100 million copies and is considered by many as one of the most influential video games ever created. The game was designed by Alexey Pajitnov who wanted to create an addictive puzzle game that would help him pass time while working at a Russian software company called Elorg (Electronic Research Institute). He started working on it during his free time until he eventually got fired for spending too much time working on this new project instead of doing his job! Luckily for us, Elorg eventually decided they liked what they saw in this little gem and published Tetris under their label; thus launching its worldwide success story!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a racing video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is an enhanced port of Mario Kart 8, which was released for the Wii U in 2014. The game includes all previously released DLC characters and tracks, plus two new characters (Dry Bones and Bowser Jr.), four new vehicles (the ATV, SNES TURBO mode, Smart Steer feature) and an additional 200cc class option that allows players to race at speeds up to 60 mph on certain courses.
As you can see, there are many popular video games out there and it’s hard to choose just one. However, these five are among the most successful in history and will likely continue selling for years to come!
