By | source:Here May 7th, 2023

We’ve all been there: you’re in a foreign country, having a lovely time, and then you do something ignorant like stick up your middle finger. And then it’s all over the news. There are so many rude hand gestures around the globe that it’s hard to keep track of them all. But with this handy list of 20 famous rude hand gestures used around the world—or at least in some places—you’ll know what to do if you want to avoid offending someone while overseas.

The Middle Finger

You’ve probably seen the middle finger, but what does it mean? The middle finger is a hand gesture that’s meant to express anger or contempt. It comes from our ancestors who flipped off people in order to insult them. The meaning of this rude hand gesture depends on where you are in the world and who you’re talking to; however, there are some universal meanings: The middle finger can represent sexual acts (like giving someone a blow job). This can be used as an insult between friends or family members when they want to show affection without words! It also means “I’m better than you” or “You’re not good enough.” For example, if someone doesn’t like their job and wants another one but has no idea how they’ll get one yet still gets mad because he/she thinks his/her boss isn’t treating him/her fairly then maybe it’s time for some self reflection before deciding whether or not he should quit his current position because maybe there’s nothing wrong with being paid less than what others earn per hour if those individuals have been working longer than him/her thus making them worth more money over time due largely in part due their experience levels which would explain why companies would choose these individuals over others who haven’t been working long enough yet so perhaps instead of complaining about everything all day long maybe try looking at things objectively instead?

The Wanker

The Wanker is a rude hand gesture that is popular in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. It’s made by holding the right hand out with the thumb and index finger extended, and the middle finger bent down. The origins of this gesture are unclear but it may have been first used by former British Prime Minister David Cameron while he was still Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition (he used it on several occasions during Prime Minister’s Questions).

The V-Sign

The v-sign, or peace sign, is the most common rude hand gesture in the UK. It’s used to show that you are feeling well and/or that something is good. It can also be used to indicate that someone else is wrong or as an insult. The origin of this sign dates back to World War II when Winston Churchill helped create it as a way for pilots in his country’s Royal Air Force (RAF) to show each other how many enemy aircrafts they had shot down during missions over France and Germany without having their radio transmissions intercepted by German intelligence services who were listening in on their transmissions from above them on reconnaissance planes called “Ferrets”

Thumbs Up

The Thumbs Up gesture is a positive gesture. It is used to indicate that you agree with something or approve of something. It can also be used as a greeting when meeting someone. For example, if you are at work and your boss asks if everything is okay, you might give them the thumbs up sign to let them know everything is fine. In some cultures this hand gesture may mean “up yours” or “f*** off.” In other countries it simply means nothing at all!

The Five Fathers

In the United Kingdom and Australia, this gesture is called “the five fathers” because of its similarity to a hand with all fingers extended. The Five Fathers is also known as “the finger” or “the bird,” because it resembles an extended middle finger. In Ireland and New Zealand, this gesture is sometimes called “the three fingers.” In other parts of the world where English isn’t spoken or understood (such as France), people may incorrectly think you’re saying goodbye when you give someone The Five Fathers; if so, just remember that it’s rude to wave your hand at them!

Keep your rude hand gestures to yourself. Don’t use your rude hand gestures in public. Unless you want to be the subject of a million memes, don’t use them in front of people you don’t know. And definitely don’t use them in front of children–they’ll get the wrong idea about what’s acceptable behavior and what isn’t! If your boss is nearby and sees that gesture, it might not end well for either one of you (or both). Now that you know the top 20 rude hand gestures, it’s up to you to decide which one(s) you want to use. Just remember that these gestures are not appropriate in many situations and may offend people who don’t understand their meaning or significance. So if you do decide on using one of these hand signals, keep it simple! A good rule of thumb is: if there is any doubt about whether or not someone will understand what it means, don’t use it at all
