Recently 33 people have been trapped in a Chilean mine because of a collapse. Officials are saying it will take three to four months to reach those trapped.  Hopefully everything else goes as planned and they can all get out safely.
Also, another oil platform exploded either today or yesterday in the Gulf of Mexico. The platform was much smaller than BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig, and all 13 employees got off safely. Because this new oil rig isn’t drilled nearly as deep as BP’s, stopping any leaks will be much easier. We’ve informed you about the Mariana Trench before, and the Deepwater Horizon almost drilled as deep. Ridiculous. [Via]
