Super Bowl XLV has come and gone leaving the Green Packers the glorious victors. Today brings us a new work week and a new week of stresses, but we happily do it because at the end of each work week there is a weekend full of fun and friends. I would like to start today’s article with some exciting news, with all the views we have been getting around here we have decided that it’s time to start doing some things differently. No longer will our Facebook and Twitter pages just be infographic updates, but they will be a little more personal. We want to get to know all our fans and we want you all to know us.
Today’s infographic is on the ear, a body part we should need to be more careful with. Be afraid my friends, be very afraid, as more and more people get iPods or any sort of mp3 player there are more pairs of earbuds going into ears, and this is a cause for concern. This is not to say that you shouldn’t own one of the many marvelous items out on the market, just be aware of the volume you have your gadget set to. Too many of us just crank our music without thinking of what it could be doing to our ears.
If you are like me, you like loud music when you are working out. Unfortunately that is the worst thing you can do for your hearing. When we are working out and our heart rate increases, the hairs inside our ears stand up, leaving our ears extremely susceptible to absorb every beat coming from those earbuds. It is during this time that the most damage can be done. Remember that once your hearing goes, it will never come back. [via]
